I've not run into any mapping issues.Īm I reading this right? You want/need is Pro Tools to manage a German Windows keyboard with Logic Pro X printing on it, as a native Mac keyboard, interpreting Logic key combinations as Pro Tools combinations? I even have a Windows keyboard (in white) on a separate machine with Logic Pro X stickers on it. You can see it in the Gallery of my studio pictures. I use a Windows keyboard on my Mac Pro, mostly because I abhor the aesthetics of white Apple keyboard in the context of my studio. Hmmm.I am not a Pro Tools user, but I'll take a shot anyway: So is there a way to tell Pro Tools to deal with my keyboard input as if it was a Mac keyboard? Same goes for shortcuts like changing between mixing and editing view and many more.Įven though my LogicKeyboard has the Windows key on it, it seems it has the Mac shortcuts that I'm used to printed on it. For example, the shortcut to enable volume automations on Mac is "ß" (German keyboard), while on Windows it's "-". I know I could use simple shortcut programs to remap the Ctrl, Windows and Alt key to match Mac's respective keys. Not only is the overprint on the LogicKeyboard wrong (but this seems to be normal ), the shortcuts are completely different than on the Mac. Unfortunately, at home, I use a Windows PC with a German LogicKeyboard. I'm mostly used to the Mac shortcuts and workflow by now. Where I study, we only use Macs in our studios. I found similar threads, but sadly nothing that adressed this exact issue. So this is gonna be kind of hard to explain.
